Here's an encryption program you can download free that allows you to encrypt files and folders. You can also create self-decrypting files that allow you to send or transfer encrypted files to people that do not have the software installed on their computers.
Camouflage Encryption
Camouflage allows you to hide files by scrambling them and then attaching them to another file of your choice. This camouflaged file then looks and behaves like a normal file, and it can be stored, used or emailed without attracting attention. You could, for example, create a picture file that looks and behaves exactly like any other picture file but contains hidden encrypted files, or you could hide a file inside a Word document that would not attract attention if discovered. For even more security, you can password your camouflaged file. When extracting the files within, this password will be required. You can even camouflage files within camouflaged files.
Spam Mimic
This site allows you to turn a short, secret message into a message that appears to be spam. The receiver of the message must return to the site to decode the message.
