In an article on April 8, 2005, at FindLaw.com called "Indian police arrest 12 in call center-bank scam," by S. Srinivasan (Associated Press), it is reported that:

India-Police have arrested 12 men in western India for allegedly cheating four Citibank customers out of nearly US$350,000 (euro270,000), a police officer said Friday.
Three former employees at a call center in the city of Pune and nine of their associates have been charged with misusing financial data and illegally withdrawing money from the accounts of the New York-based customers, an assistant commissioner of police, Sanjay Jadhav, said.
