    Does Spies Online use cookies?
Yes, it does, but they are not for the purpose of privacy invasion. For example, just like major search engines often use cookies, the Spies Online may use software which employs cookies. Cookies may also be used by third-party sites that might deliver certain content to the Spies Online site. Of course, if this really bothers you, you have the option of not accepting cookies (or simply not using this site).

Does Spies Online collect any personal information about me when I visit the site?
The Spies Online site is hosted by Esosoft. Esosoft collects basic statistics about who visits the site (i.e. domain name, ISP number, pages visited) and provides those statistics to Spies Online via a URL protected stat page. That information/URL is not shared with anyone by Spies Online, and Esosoft says that they do not even look at it. Spies Online, however, has no control over what Esosoft might do with the information. Spies Online also has advertisers, and some advertisers use transparent GIFs and other techniques to track referrals and such. Spies Online also has a message board, postcard services, e-mail services hosted by a third party and a Help Desk where it is possible that personal information is collected. These are just a few examples. Spies Online reserves the right to share information if it was compelled to do so by a court order/law enforcement purposes or if in our good judgment it would be the prudent thing to do. The use of the Spies Online site is entirely at your own risk, and Spies Online will make no guarantees about the safety of any of your personal information. Please use this site only at your own peril, and if you do not agree to this, you simply may not use this site.

Does Spies Online really read my hard drive?
Certainly not. This is probably one of the most frequently asked questions ever. Spies Online uses a trick to display your drive contents so that you and only you can see it. It's just a trick. However, it is quite possible to tell many things about you and your browser when you visit a site, and when Spies Online displays your browser type, etc., that is no trick.

Is it possible for any other sites to collect information about me when I visit Spies Online?
Yes. Here is just one example. Anytime you access a link outside of Spies Online (thru a URL, displaying a .gif file, etc.), it is possible that another site may be accessing information about you. Here's a simple example of how this works. Suppose you visit a site and that site has their "guest book" hosted by a third party. If you sign their guest book, that third party will have information about you. Also, if any pictures/.gif files are displayed that are hosted on that site, that site will get information about you when your browser tries to access the .gif files.
