May I access the site using an anonymous service or proxy?
While there is nothing that would prevent you from doing so, as part of the terms of service for using this site, you agree not to do so. Of course, if this is not agreeable to you, you are welcome to leave and not use the site.

If I follow all of the advice on Spies Online, will my computer be completely secure?
Nobody could make such a guarantee. There are things that you can do to minimize security problems. Moreover, Spies Online does not guarantee the accuracy of any information on this site. Use any information on this site at your own peril. The information on this forum does not constitute professional advice. In using the Spies Online web site, no professional-client relationship is created or implied. The primary purpose of this forum is fun and entertainment.

Is there any way to be completely anonymous on the Net?
While there are things you can do and services you can do to enhance your privacy, it is best to assume that if someone like the FBI, for example, wanted to trace your actions that they could. Do not send anything in e-mail that you would not write on the back of a postcard. Do not trust web sites that you know nothing about. Do not use the computer to do anything illegal like threaten people - you will be caught.

Does Spies Online only include links to "safe" sites?
Spies Online offers links to a variety of sites. Some are provided for informational purposes. Other sites might be mentioned as an alert to concerned parents. Still other sites are comic sites that are just for fun. Spies Online has absolutely no control over sites that are not actually part of the site here; sites are being updated all the time and content may change. If you notice anything questionable on a site that is linked to by Spies Online, you are urged to report it immediately using the convenient online contact form. Your concerns will be addressed right away. Please remember that Spies Online does not endorse or encourage any sort of illegal or questionable activities for any reason. If you download software onto your computer, it is completely at your own risk. Be advised that the use of this site or any links it contains is completely at your own peril.

Does Spies Online really read my C drive?
Absolutely not. That's just a "joke" script that has been circulating for awhile. All it does is list the contents of the user's own C drive so that he can see it. Nobody else really can. The reason that script is included on the site is to raise awareness of this common little hoax.
